The Department aims to upgrade the applications of computer by promoting innovations in Information Technology and to endorse students to meet great challenges of the technology-centered century.


The Department offers a four-year degree program in the field of Information Technology. The syllabus is set to keep in pace with the landscape of Information Technology that is growing tremendously and changing rapidly.


The curriculum is designed to groom students to be at the winning side in any sector they chose. A constant revision of the syllabus helps to meet the key aspects of awareness in the ever changing new arenas of Information Technology.


The strength of Information Technology Department is its unique staff members. The Department ensures a constant interaction between the students and the faculty. The wide and varied experience of the faculty helps the students to enrich themselves to excel in the corporate world. A systematic planning of Industrial visits, Career Development Workshops, Guest Lectures, Presentations and Technical Events make the students to empower as the better technologists of a new tomorrow. Under the guidance of the experienced staff-members the Department has excelled to receive fund for 2 projects from TAMIL NADU STATE COUNCIL FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY under SPS (Student Project Scheme) in the year 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. They have outshined to organize an AICTE Sponsored National Workshop in the year 2011 on "Recent Trends in Data Mining and Data warehousing".
